Breast Augmentation Anatomical Implants 215cc Before and After 1 Month Checkup

Case fact sheet

  • Patient: 42-year-old woman, very thin (BMI 18,9)
  • What I was asking for: a supernatural result, that wouldn't betray the fact that she had implants
  • Why anatomical: In a thin patient, a round implant fills the upper pole a lot and is noticeable; an anatomical implant distributes the volume downwards and respects the natural slope of the breast.
  • How it was decided: Using the Crisalix 3D simulator, the patient saw in three dimensions how each option would look on her and chose the anatomical shape herself.
  • Implants: Mentor anatomical implants of 215 cc, placed through the inframammary fold
  • Reinforcement: internal bra
  • Postoperative: 24-hour Recovery protocol
  • Photos: before and one year after surgery
  • Surgeon: Dr. Gustavo Sordo

The less of the patient's own tissue there is to cover the implant, the more the implant's shape dictates the final breast shape. In a thin patient, this necessitates careful selection: a controlled volume and an anatomical prosthesis, which fills the lower pole and leaves the upper pole sloped, are what make the result look like a breast and not an implant.

Regarding this intervention

The most important factor in determining the outcome is not the implant itself, but the tissue that covers it. How is this assessed in breast augmentation?
