Breast augmentation with 280cc anatomical implants in dual plane I: before and after
Case fact sheet
- Patient: woman with small breasts
- Starting chest: short distance from areola to sulcus: underdeveloped lower pole
- Technique: Breast augmentation with 280 cc anatomical implants, via inframammary fold, subpectoral pocket in dual plane I, fixation of the fold (internal bra) and push-up effect
- Implants: Allergan Natrelle 410 MM-280 (anatomical, moderate height and projection), 280 cc on both sides
- Approach: The anatomical expands the short lower pole and leaves a smooth transition at the upper pole
- Entry: 1 night
- Anesthesia: general type TIVA
- Duration: ~1 hour
Small breasts with little distance between the areola and the inframammary fold. To expand the lower pole and achieve a natural result, with a softened upper pole, 280 cc anatomical implants were chosen in dual plane I, through the inframammary fold, using our standard breast augmentation technique.

What there was
A small breast, with a short distance from the nipple to the sulcus: the lower pole was underdeveloped.
Why anatomical
When that distance is short, it needs to be expanded, and that's what the anatomical implant does: it brings the volume to the lower pole and leaves the upper pole with a smooth slope, without a step. This way, the result looks natural.
What I did during surgery
I entered through the inframammary fold, made the pocket in dual plane I, placed the 280 cc anatomical implants, fixed the fold (internal bra) and gave it the push-up effect.
What to look for in the photos
In profile, you can see how the lower pole has lengthened and how smooth the transition is at the top.
If you have small breasts and are unsure which implant is right for you, I explain it in " Small Breasts: Causes, Treatments and Prices ," and you can see more augmentations from 280 to 330 cc and more cases with anatomical implants.

Before you compare yourself to this photo
If you're comparing cases by cubic centimeters, be careful: the same volume looks very different depending on the anatomy. How is it chosen, in breast augmentation?
Do you want to know if this can be done in your case?
The first consultation is with Dr. Sordo, either at the Chamberí clinic or via video consultation. You'll leave knowing if you're a candidate, which technique is right for you, and how much it costs.
