Ultrasonic rhinoplasty on aquiline nose: before and after at two years
Case fact sheet
- Patient: 22 year old woman
- Starting nose: aquiline nose, with a hump on the bridge and a slightly droopy tip
- Technique: Structural rhinoplasty with ultrasonic technique, along with septoplasty and turbinate surgery
- Anesthesia and duration: total intravenous (TIVA), about 3 hours
- Approach: Lower the hump and lift the tip to achieve a straight profile, without the nose losing its natural appearance.
- Result: two years after the operation
A 22-year-old woman with a hooked nose: a prominent hump on the bridge when viewed in profile and a slightly drooping tip. She underwent structural rhinoplasty in Madrid using an ultrasonic technique : the bone on the bridge was reshaped with ultrasound to precisely reduce the hump, the tip was supported to prevent drooping, and the septum and turbinates were corrected during the same surgery.
Photos taken two years after the operation
We show the long-term results, once the nose has fully settled: in profile, the bridge is straight and the tip is in place, and from the front, the nose appears thinner. These are the same before-and-after views, including the smiling profiles. The ultrasonic scalpel allows for more precise bone work and typically leaves less bruising. It truly makes a difference in ultrasonic rhinoplasty.
