Rhinoplasty Before and After
Case fact sheet
- Diagnosis: Post-traumatic saddle nose, with severe deviation to the left
- Intervention: structural rhinoplasty with ultrasonic (piezoelectric) bone instrumentation
- Support: rib graft to fill the space above the tip and restore the lost framework, with central extension and armadillo graft
- Back: Filled with high radix spreader grafts, which lift the back from the root and simultaneously correct the sagging and deviation
- Surgeon: Dr. Gustavo Sordo
A broken nose that remains sunken and crooked requires a significant amount of cartilage, which is why a rib is used. Since it was a primary surgery and not a secondary one, a hyperbaric chamber was not necessary: the skin's blood supply was intact.
