Asymmetrical tuberous breasts corrected with implants and periareolar mastopexy: before and after
Case fact sheet
- Diagnosis: Grolleau grade II-III tuberous breasts with significant asymmetry between the two sides
- Intervention: Correction with implants of different volumes on each side. On the left breast, periareolar mastopexy; on the right, simple augmentation via the hemiareolar approach.
- Implants: Round, in dual plane 1, with Internal Bra reinforcement and laser, seeking a push-up effect
- Surgeon: Dr. Gustavo Sordo
In tuberous breasts, the base is narrow and the inframammary fold is high: simply placing an implant is not enough; the gland must be freed and, depending on the degree of sagging, the areola repositioned. Furthermore, when the two sides start from very different volumes, each breast requires a different sized implant.
