Pathology: Our patient had always had very large breasts, but they had increased in size following the menopause. Over time, they had sagging and grown, causing great discomfort in her back and causing grooves in her shoulders as a result of having to wear bras that “dig” into her skin.
Intervention: Breast reduction with lower pedicle and “inverted T” scars (without separating the areola from the breast tissue). Analysis of the removed tissue to ensure the absence of breast pathology.
Result: We achieved a natural result with breasts that were the right size for her body. Our patient began to enjoy the absence of back pain and the ability to wear normal bras. We analysed the removed tissue in the pathology laboratory, which showed the absence of breast pathology.
