Rhinoplasty Natural Straight Nose

Rhinoplasty for a straight nose aims to align the nasal profile by eliminating humps, irregularities or deviations in the dorsum. Depending on the patient's anatomy, preservation or structural techniques can be used to achieve a harmonious and natural result.

There is no one technique that is superior to another across the board. Dr. Sordo prefers open rhinoplasty, as it gives him a complete view of the nasal structure and allows him to work with precision, especially in cases where the shape and thickness of the nasal walls need to be refined.

Recovery time varies from patient to patient, but in general, initial swelling subsides within the first two weeks. Most people can return to normal activities in about 7-10 days, although the final results may take several months to fully set in.

The scars are minimal and practically imperceptible. In open rhinoplasty, the incision is made at the base of the nose, and over time it becomes almost invisible. In closed rhinoplasty, the incisions are inside the nose and are not visible externally.
